Sowing of winter crops continues in Crimea

More than 300 thousand hectares have already been sown for the harvest 2023 of the year in Crimea. In total, farmers will have to sow 534 thousands of hectares of winter crops.
Let me remind you that this year the sowing of winter crops in the republic started in early September with the sowing of winter rapeseed. The first shoots of these crops have already appeared on the Crimean fields in the Krasnogvardeisky, Leninsky, Pervomaisky and Chernomorsky regions. In this autumn field season, winter wheat was sown on an area of 194 thousand hectares — this is 59% of the planned, seedlings were obtained on thousands of hectares. Winter barley was sown 50, 4% of the plan or 21 thousand hectares of fields and the first shoots of this crop appeared at 4.9 thousand hectares , — quotes the press service of the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea Andrey Savchuk.
The head of the Crimean Ministry of Agriculture also said that autumn field work continues. Now farmers are also sowing winter rapeseed and coriander. So, already thousand hectares have been sown with rapeseed, of which sprouts have been obtained on 2.5 thousand hectares. Sowing of rapeseed continues in 6 districts of the republic: Dzhankoysky, Krasnoperekopsky, Saksky, Simferopolsky, Sovetsky and Chernomorsky. Coriander was sown on 5.6 thousand hectares or % of the sown area, seedlings were obtained on 1 thousand hectares in the Leninsky and Chernomorsky regions.
