During a working visit to the city of Simferopol, the Head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, criticized the administration of the municipality and the State Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Road Service of the Republic of Crimea” for improper maintenance of the road network. Thus, the Head of the Republic examined Kirov Avenue, Kozlova, Krylova, Russkaya, Sevastopolskaya, Chekhov streets and others, along which the main flow of public transport passes. And he was dissatisfied:
I believe that the pothole repairs are carried out poorly and the sewer manholes have sagged in many areas. This may pose a hazard to traffic, — said Sergei Aksenov.
The head of the republic instructed the leadership of the Simferopol administration, together with the Road Service of the Republic of Crimea, to strengthen control over the maintenance of the city’s road network.
Monitoring must be carried out on an ongoing basis. Responsible services must develop technologies for pothole repair of asphalt pavements and grading of dirt roads. This work must be carried out promptly. There are enough equipment and means for these purposes– notes the Head of Crimea.
Sergey Aksyonov set the task for the city administration and the Road Service of the Republic of Crimea to determine the priority of performing pothole repairs of streets and carry them out within three months. The road grading work should be completed within two months.
The head of the Road Service of the Republic of Crimea, Maxim Tarasov, informed that to date, the work on grading the dirt roads of Simferopol has been completed by more than 50%.
These works are scheduled to be completed by June 1. Pothole repairs, asphalt pavement repairs and replacement of the top layer of surface on city roads will be completed by August 1promised the head of the Road Service of the Republic of Crimea.
In total, it is planned to renovate 190 thousand square meters. meters of asphalt roads.
According to the head of the Simferopol city administration, Mikhail Afanasyev, the raising of sewer and water supply hatches, water inlets for storm drainage will be carried out in the near future.
We carried out a full inventory of the road surface and identified points where action needed to be taken. Now the priority is the streets along which public transport moves— said the head of the city administration.
