Last weekend, the Specialized Spinal Sanatorium named after Academician N.N. Burdenko» celebrated 50 years since its founding.
Specialized spinal sanatorium named after academician N.N. Burdenko is a unique health resort known throughout Russia, located on the shores of the Saki salt healing lakesaid the Minister of Health of the Republic of Crimea, Konstantin Skorupsky.
The sanatorium named after academician N. N. Burdenko is one of the few sanatoriums in Crimea that has the opportunity to provide sanatorium-resort treatment for people with disabilities with walking impairment of the third degree and with impaired self-care functions.
The main profile of the institution is sanatorium-resort treatment and rehabilitation of patients with consequences of injuries and diseases of the central nervous system, peripheral nervous system, musculoskeletal system, musculoskeletal system, after spinal surgery, with cerebral palsy, infantile spinal palsy.
Over 50 years of operation, the sanatorium has accumulated invaluable experience in treating patients with the above pathologies. Over the entire period of operation, the sanatorium received more than 150 thousand patients for treatment.said the head of the Crimean Ministry of Health.
The basis of sanatorium-resort (rehabilitation) treatment consists of unique treatment methods using natural mud and brine of Lake Saki, mineral water, physiotherapeutic methods of treatment, therapeutic medical massage, individual exercise therapy with patients, climatic therapy and aeroionotherapy.
The sanatorium provides an accessible environment; the rooms are equipped with specialized furniture, functional beds with Balkan frames for the convenience of the disabled.
To ensure medical supervision and prompt provision of medical care, medical personnel are on duty in the sanatorium around the clock. The institution employs experienced, highly qualified employees.
