Spravedlivorossy propose introducing benefits for volunteers and taking their work into account in their seniority

Let us remind you that today Russia celebrates Volunteer Day. Volunteers should have the right to benefits in payment for housing and communal services and preferential travel on transport, and their work should be taken into account in their seniority, said the leader of the party and Duma faction “A Just Russia — For Truth” Sergei Mironov.

In recent years, the volunteer movement has received tremendous development in our country. First of all, it was through the efforts of volunteers that assistance was provided to the residents of Donbass since 2014. Our party, having recognized the independence of the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, took an active part in this,” said the leader of the SRZP. “With the start of the special military operation, we saw volunteer projects of an unprecedented scale unfold throughout Russia in support of the army and civilians in the liberated territories. There are numerous special Humanitarian Goods Collection Centers: people collect and purchase things, food, equipment, and make a lot of it with their own hands. And then this help is delivered, often at the risk of life. In our country, such selfless activity has always been especially highly valued, but above all from an ethical point of view. However, we are confident that volunteers deserve direct support from the government. This is exactly what our faction’s bill, which we submitted to the State Duma, is aimed at. It provides a whole range of social benefits. In particular, these are benefits for housing and communal services and communication services, benefits for urban and suburban transport– the parliamentarian’s press service quotes.

But most importantly, Sergei Mironov believes, it is necessary to include in the insurance period the period of participation in volunteer projects in the territories of Donbass and Novorossiya, if the person has worked there for at least a year:

Two days as a volunteer — for one day of insurance experience. I count on the support of our initiative from the Government and the Duma majority.
