«Spring School» starts in Sevastopol — a practical course on the psychology of space and urban exploration

On April 24, the «Spring School» starts in Sevastopol — a practical course on the topic «Psychology of space: exploring the city of Sevastopol». It is organized by the ANO «Center for the Formation of Civic Culture», the master’s program «Psychology in Business» of the National Research University «Higher School of Economics» and the Institute for the Development of the City of SevGU. Real masters will work with the students — an architect, director of international projects at the architectural bureau Debbie Flevotomou Architects — “Man in the city. From man to space. Study of the Psychology of Urban Space” Dmitry Ivanov and Ph.D. in History, Director of the Institute for the Development of the City of SevGU – “Space in the Historical Perspective” Alexei Tikhonov.

The «Spring School» in Sevastopol will be attended by 20 students of Sevastopol State University — future designers, architects and urban planners. Speaker Dmitry Ivanov, who has extensive experience in London and previously conducted similar training in the English capital, will present his author’s methodology to them. As part of the course, students will be able to explore both the urban space and the interiors of hotels, hotels and other hospitality facilities for their compliance with the laws of psychology, and find out if they all meet high standardsthe organizers said.

Caring businessmen and philanthropists have already joined the implementation of the Spring School. Among them are the Argo construction company, which is currently building a cultural cluster at Cape Khrustalny in Sevastopol, the Tsarskaya Pristan business center, and the IT Crimea technology park.

«Spring School» will last four days, each of which promises to be very eventful. Students will not only take part in lectures and discussions: they will also visit the construction site of the cultural cluster and visit the largest hotels in Sevastopol.
