«Spring»? «Screen Star»! Very soon there will be a premiere at the Sevastopol Lunacharsky Theater
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Sevastopol Academic Theater named after A.V. Lunacharsky is invited to the next premiere — the comedy play “Screen Star”. According to Tourist portal of Crimea, the plot tells the story of two young women: one is an aspiring actress, the second is a respected scientist. The plot of “Screen Stars” was based on the play of the same name by Maurice Slobodsky and Alexander Raskin, published in 1945. There are two main characters in the play: one should play the other in the movie. Comical situations await both. At the same time, everyone will meet their love.
Stop, stop, stop… Doesn’t remind you of anything? Somehow it just popped into my head: “That all this spring is useless, And no one needs the song, And spring water is nonsense…”. Yes? Yes! In 1947, based on the play by Maurice Slobodsky and Alexander Raskin, the comedy “Spring” was filmed with the participation of Lyubov Orlova, Nikolai Cherkasov, Faina Ranevskaya, Rina Zelenaya and Rostislav Plyatt. For the originality of the plot, the film received an award at the VII Venice Film Festival. Well, the songs from that tape have become truly folk…
I wonder if there will be parallels (and musical ones too) in the premiere of “Lunacharians”? In any case, it will be interesting. The play “Screen Star” is the brainchild of the main director of the theater. Lunacharsky, Honored Artist of Sevastopol Grigory Lifanov.
The premiere is scheduled for March 27, 28 and 29. Starts at 18:30. Tickets can be purchased Here. Age limit: 12+.
