Spruces and pines arrived in Sevastopol from the mainland for the New Year
CrimeaPRESS reports:
For the New Year, spruce and pine trees were brought to the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol from Perm, Tver, Penza, Valdai, and Nizhny Tagil, as in previous years.
At the site in the park near the Chaika market, the pine trees were lined up as a continuous green stripe, so much so that the park finally looks completely green. Miniature stacked trees are also on sale; they were assembled from individual coniferous branches — spruce branches and mounted on small wooden round timbers. The price of such “trees” is one thousand rubles. Large pine trees are sold by the meter, from 800 to a thousand rubles per meter. In the coming days they promise to deliver more spruce from the warehouse — especially for those who like to sweep up fallen needles long after the New Year— journalists note «Sevastopol newspaper».
As one of the sellers told SG, despite the set price, it can still be considered negotiable. You can and even need to bargain. Let’s say, the tallest pine tree is 3.5 meters, the seller is ready to sell for three thousand or even 2800. He says: depending on “who will buy, how they will talk and smile.”
They plan to sell pine trees and fir trees until December 31, with the hope that by the New Year all goods will be completely sold, as was the case last year. Then everything sold out on December 29th! True, the year before, the trees still remained and after the New Year, they were used for firewood.
In total, 19 Christmas tree markets were opened in Sevastopol on December 18 in different areas of the city. Sellers assure that there will be enough fir and pine trees for everyone.
