“Startup Game”: more than 400 KFU students completed entrepreneurial competency training

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Based on the Crimean Federal University named after. V. I. Vernadsky underwent training on entrepreneurial competencies “Startup Game”. More than 400 students from nine structural divisions and branches of the university took part in them. “Startup Game” is a one-day intensive training, during which first-year students completed interactive tasks in a game format, developed their ideas, and at the end of the day presented projects to potential investors and the public.

This kind of training is very important so that the children begin to understand themselves. They went to school, they had certain interests, they learned something, discovered something. But the key point is that they will now do this on a fairly systematic basis. Ultimately, they must find in themselves what is hidden today. Maybe someone really has serious entrepreneurial talents, and serious success awaits this person. Even if these trainings do not lead a person to entrepreneurship or to some other area that we will offer him, in any case they will develop our students, — quotes the press service and. O. Rector of the Crimean Federal University Vladimir Kuryanov.

The purpose of the training is to introduce students to practical tools and technologies used in creating a technology startup, as well as to help them diagnose their own entrepreneurial potential. The work of the university in the field of popularizing entrepreneurship among young people was highly appreciated by the Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea Dmitry Sheryako.

We have been working together for several years now. Thanks to the work of the university management, students are interested in doing business. Every year, students from the Crimean Federal University and other universities get involved in entrepreneurship. At the end of last year, 25 students became young entrepreneurs, and they are also applying for grants. I would like to thank the management of the university for the work they do with students, for developing entrepreneurship among students,” emphasizes Dmitry Sheryako.

The training program covers eight competencies in the field of technological entrepreneurship, including the generation and formation of ideas, team building, validation of potential consumers, justification of a business model, preparation of a presentation and negotiations with an investor.

I believe that this training is a truly unique experience, a very useful practice in communicating with people, developing projects and generally having a pleasant time. Our project is cybernetic prosthetics, the basis of which is adaptive artificial intelligence and prediction of human movementsnotes Sergei Kopytov, a student at the KFU Physico-Technical Institute.

Pre-professional competency training was held at the Crimean Federal University as part of the federal project “University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform”.
