State Duma deputy Mikhail Sheremet sees a connection between provocateurs in Georgia and those who tried to disrupt the referendum in Crimea

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Provocateurs from Ukraine, who tried to disrupt the referendum on the status of Crimea in 2014, came to Georgia and are again trying to provoke a conflict. About this TASS said State Duma deputy from the Republic of Crimea Mikhail Sheremet.

Earlier sources reported TASS that snipers trained in Ukraine are arriving in Georgia to organize provocations during mass protests.

We see from TV screens that it is no coincidence that the same scammers and provocateurs from Kyiv who came to Crimea for the referendum in 2014 came to Georgia in large numbers. In Crimea, they tried to intimidate and push the inhabitants of the peninsula into confrontation against each other, snatched their passports from their hands and tore them in the hope of stealing their dream, thereby depriving them of the opportunity to votesaid the deputy.

Sheremet, who led the Crimean people’s militia in 2014, said that provocateurs from Kyiv met with severe resistance in Simferopol. He believes that the Georgian people need to unite and not succumb to provocations, expelling the visiting Kyiv neo-Nazis from their country.

On the evening of October 28, a rally against the results of the parliamentary elections began in front of the Georgian parliament, organized by the country’s President Salome Zurabishvili, who on October 27 declared that she did not recognize the election results. As a TASS correspondent reports from the site of the action, the square is crowded, people are holding flags of Georgia and the EU, as well as banners. Those gathered took to Rustaveli Avenue, blocking the movement of vehicles along it.

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze has repeatedly called for the opposition to refrain from plans to destabilize the situation. He announced similar plans of opponents of the government even before the elections. At the same time, as the prime minister noted, the opposition does not have the resources for such actions.
