State Duma Vice Speaker Anna Kuznetsova visited a branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation and a naval hospital in Sevastopol

CrimeaPRESS reports:

During a working visit to Sevastopol, Vice Speaker of the State Duma, head of the headquarters for humanitarian cooperation under the General Council of United Russia, member of the working group on NWO issues Anna Kuznetsova visited the branch of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. The topics of appeals that were received during the first month of work from participants in the special military operation and their families were discussed with the branch management, and certain issues that require decisions at the regional and federal levels were identified.

From the very first minutes, we began to analyze topics that are familiar to me from the activities of our working group on NWO issues. Our working group, headed by Secretary of the General Council of the Party Andrey Turchak, works very closely with the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation. Today we talked with employees and visitors of the foundation, with the military, with their spouses, and we see that the work of the organization is in demand. It is important that there is a place where the military and their families can turn. Our task is to hear about their problems as soon as possible and prevent new difficulties.— Anna Kuznetsova is quoted by the press service of the Government of Sevastopol.

The vice-speaker of the State Duma noted the peculiarities of the work of the fund’s Sevastopol branch.

The fund has a special interdepartmental commission, which includes all structures designed to answer various questions of military personnel. The Foundation quickly and efficiently provides assistance to the families of our military and veterans of the Northern Military District. There is an MFC window here and it is convenient to collect documents. Lawyers and employment service specialists provide advice. In terms of their structure, regional funds are similar in all regions, the systems are similar, but, of course, the most important thing is the specialists working on the ground. It is very important that the regional departments of funds take into account the specifics of the regions and choose the most appropriate forms of service. I want to thank all the staff of the Foundation for their work— says Anna Kuznetsova.

In addition, she drew attention to the special problems of the region related to the issues of SVO.

Separate categories of the military, for example, sea-based missile troops, cannot receive all forms of support due to the participants in the NMD. The same applies to some civil servants who are involved in combat missions. Once a month, our working group submits a report to the President, and it is considered by all departments. Already, a whole range of legislative initiatives have become laws. Now they help our servicemen and their families. Today we discussed a few more nuances related to Sevastopol, and in the near future we will discuss a new initiative with relevant departments— said the vice-speaker of the State Duma.

Everyone who applies to the fund can receive free legal advice, psychological support, and learn about guaranteed state support measures at the federal and regional levels. In addition, the foundation has a school of care for relatives of people with disabilities, an office for representatives of medical and social expertise, a rental office for technical rehabilitation equipment and a MFC window.

Also during the working visit, Anna Kuznetsova met with the management and patients of the Sevastopol Naval Clinical Hospital.

The Vice Speaker of the State Duma, together with the first deputy head of the party faction in the State Duma, Dmitry Vyatkin, and the deputy commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Rear Admiral Vyacheslav Rodionov, held a joint reception at the hospital for members of the SVO who are being treated. The fighters’ questions were mainly related to payments and rehabilitation after injuries.

We encountered both questions that are usually asked in other hospitals, as well as specific problems. As leader of the relevant subgroup of the JEE working group, I take on a range of issues with colleagues in the legislative field. They are subject to federal regulation. Of course, we will come up with relevant legislative initiatives.— said Anna Kuznetsova.

She noted that the impression of the organization of work in the Sevastopol hospital is good:

Together we try to find the best solution. Together with the Ministry of Defense, we supported the initiative for lawyers to periodically hold receptions for participants in the SVO in hospitals and help resolve all their issues as quickly as possible. We started this work in the capital’s hospitals, and in the regions it started for the first time today in Sevastopol. We conducted field work with the leadership of the Black Sea Fleet so that we could answer a whole list of questions as quickly as possible.

Anna Kuznetsova also thanked all her colleagues from the State Duma for their unanimous support for all the proposals made on support measures.
