State monitoring: the first sample of new crop wheat was examined in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
According to information from the Azov-Black Sea branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Center for Grain Quality Assessment”, the first sample of new crop wheat from a batch of more than 570 tons was examined in the Krasnogvardeisky district. This became the starting stage of state monitoring of grain quality and safety in Crimea.
Laboratory tests of the samples were carried out on the basis of the testing laboratory of the Temryuk point of the Novorossiysk branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Center for Grain Quality Assessment”.
The grain was examined for compliance with the requirements established by GOST 93-53-2016 “Wheat. Technical conditions» and Order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation dated 09/08/2021 No. 611 «On approval of the list of consumer properties of grain produced on the territory of the Russian Federation, for the purpose of conducting state monitoring of grain.» The following indicators were studied: humidity, nature, protein content, quality and quantity of gluten, falling number, glassiness, contamination and pest infestation, harmful impurities and others— reported the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea.
According to the results of the tests, the first sample of Crimean wheat from the 2024 harvest corresponds to the 3rd class. 3rd class wheat is a food grain that produces high quality flour. This flour is used in bakery production. Experts note that class 3 wheat is the most effective for this crop.
This year, as part of the state monitoring of grain in Crimea, it is planned to test about 700 thousand tons of wheat in the laboratories of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Grain Quality Assessment Center”.
