State support for greenhouses growing vegetables indoors in Crimea will amount to about 24.5 million rubles
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In 2024, 24.5 million rubles were allocated for State support in the form of reimbursement of part of the costs of heat, electricity and gas consumed in the production of protected soil vegetables in winter greenhouses. This was announced by the acting Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, Alime Zaredinova. In the Republic of Crimea, a dozen different enterprises are engaged in growing greenhouse vegetables, including KOF LLC, Fanels-TT LLC, Avsen LLC, Buton LLC, TK Belogorsky LLC, Don Agro LLC.
The first deputy minister of agriculture of the republic said that one of such enterprises is Don Agro LLC, which specializes in growing early vegetable crops — the Bjorn cucumber variety. The collection began in mid-February and is carried out almost daily, this makes it possible to provide residents of the Crimean capital, Simferopol and other regions with high-quality and environmentally friendly products. As of March 5, 2024, the enterprise harvested more than 22.8 tons of cucumbers indoors. In total, 833.09 tons of this vegetable have already been collected in greenhouses in the republic since the beginning of the year.
The total area occupied by greenhouses is 2.8 hectares. The Don Agro LLC company specializes in growing cucumbers. Today we see the process of harvesting this year’s harvest. The Don Agro enterprise has prospects — to expand its area, there is land on which it is possible to build another greenhouse complex, the enterprise is looking for investors. Therefore, all that we, as a ministry, as a government, can do for an enterprise is to offer available financial instruments in the form of subsidies, preferential lending and leasing, preferences under SEZ site agreements, and so on. Subsidies are provided in the form of reimbursement of part of the costs for consumed energy resources for enterprises that grew and sold greenhouse vegetables. This year we have allocated 24.5 million rubles for this area. This greenhouse will also be able to participate in the selection– commented the acting minister.
Alime Zaredinova also noted that in Crimea, the total area of enterprises that grow vegetables in greenhouses is 61 hectares. In addition to large ones, there are also small farms whose area occupied by greenhouse vegetables is less than one hectare. These businesses are also developing and expanding.
