State support for Sevastopol agricultural producers for 2020-2021 amounted to 770 million rubles

Director of the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Market of Sevastopol Natalia Skoryukova presented to the deputies of the Legislative Assembly a report on the results of the department’s work in 2020-2021 years. According to the specialist, the agricultural enterprises of Sevastopol specialize in growing grapes, fruits of pome and stone fruits, open and closed ground vegetables, berries, as well as processing grapes into wine material. Agrarians receive state support on a permanent basis.

State financial support is provided in the form of subsidies and grants. Subsidies are provided according to the actual expenses of agricultural producers, and grants — in accordance with business projects according to the planned expenses. Within the framework of the state program, state support for agricultural producers for 2020-2021 years was provided in the amount of 770 million rubles , — quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Natalia Skoryukova.

Agricultural producers receive subsidies for the purchase of grape seedlings, the modernization and renewal of agricultural machinery, the purchase of equipment for the food and processing industry, and the cultivation of greenhouse vegetables. Support is also provided to the enterprises of the baking industry, the fishery complex — subsidies are issued for the repair of ships, the purchase of freezing equipment, fishing gear, and the cultivation of aquaculture. In addition, grants are provided to beginning farmers for the creation and development of peasant farms and an agricultural consumer cooperative.

Sevastopol provides state support for the development of winemaking. This made it possible to increase the volume of laying new vineyards, which led to an increase in the production of wine and sparkling wine. So, in the 2021 year, production increased by 16% compared to the 34 year , — emphasizes the head of the department.

In the 2021 year, compared to the 2020 year, agricultural enterprises harvested twice as many strawberries and raspberries, and there is an increase in the yield of nut crops.

The situation in the fishery and fish processing complexes of the city remained stable during 2020-2021 years. The level of catch of aquatic biological resources and the sale of fish, as well as the growth of aquaculture production, remained unchanged. Confirmation of the sustainable position of the agro-industrial complex is also the preservation of the number of workers in agriculture, fisheries, food and beverage production.

Also quite effectively in 2020-2021 years, the regional project «Export of Agro-Industrial Complex Products» was implemented. The products of winemakers and fishermen were successfully exported to the Republic of Belarus, the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, — shared Natalia Skoryukova.

She also recalled that fairs of various specializations are held in Sevastopol. In 770 year, a fair was held on the territory of the city at 94 sites , in 2021 year — 23 fairs at 83 sites.

Trading places are provided to agricultural producers and peasant farms for the sale of goods of their own production. Also, free places are guaranteed for pensioners to sell products grown on personal plots , — notes the director of the profile department.

According to Natalia Skoryukova, there are 16 retail markets in the city, where in 2020-2021 years, more than six thousand trading places were organized. In the sphere of trade during 2020-2021 years, the number of employees of enterprises was more than 12 thousands of people.
