State traffic inspectors began to check the railway crossings of Sevastopol

Employees of the State traffic inspectorate of Sevastopol conducted a survey of railway crossings. The goal is to prevent accidents. State traffic inspectors, in particular, checked the equipment of crossings with road signs, artificial lighting, light and sound alarms, as well as the presence and light reflection of road markings and the condition of roadsides.
Particular attention was paid to the technical condition of railway crossings, through which pass passenger transport routes, including school buses, and their compliance with regulations in force in the field of road safety.
In the course of the event, employees identified non-compliance with mandatory requirements in the field of ensuring road safety in the operational state of crossings. Based on the results of the survey, information letters were sent to the transport prosecutor’s office of the city of Sevastopol to take prosecutorial response measures— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol.
The traffic police reminded: violation of the rules for driving through railway tracks, crossing outside the crossing, leaving the crossing with a closed or closing barrier or a prohibitory signal of a traffic light or a duty officer at the crossing, as well as stopping or parking at a railway crossing — is punishable by a fine of 5,000 rubles or deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 3 to 6 months. In case of repeated violation — deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for 1 year.
