Statistics: 1,348 Sevastopol families used maternity capital funds for their children’s education

One of the most popular areas for using maternal family capital in Sevastopol is children’s education. In 2024, 1,348 Sevastopol families have already used the capital for their children’s education.

Maternity capital can be used both for childcare in kindergartens and for the education of students in secondary and higher educational institutions. These can be clubs, sections, foreign language courses, creative arts, as well as kindergartens, driving schools, technical schools, institutes and universities.

You can pay for your studies if you meet certain conditions. The organization or individual entrepreneur providing educational services must be located in Russia and have a license to provide educational services.

You can use maternity capital to pay for school, university or college education after the child for whom the certificate was received reaches the age of three. In addition, maternity capital funds can be used to pay for a child’s education for previous years, but only if the agreement for payment of paid educational services concluded between the certificate holder and the educational institution contains provisions on the possibility of payment for previous periods.

The funds can be used to educate any child in the family if there is a need for education. The children can be either biological or adopted, regardless of birth order. It is important that the child is no older than 25 years old at the time of starting education.

Sevastopol applicants can benefit from maternal family capital, since its funds can be used to pay for children’s education in any educational institutions, including paying for dormitory accommodation and utilities during the period of study.I, — says Elena Gaivoronskaya.

An application for the disposal of maternity capital is submitted through a personal account on the public services portal, in the client service of the Sevastopol Branch of the SFR or in the MFC. Funds are transferred within five working days after the application is approved.

When submitting an application, the certificate holder provides his/her passport and a copy of the agreement on the provision of paid educational services, certified by the organization or individual entrepreneur, or information from the agreement on the provision of paid services, if an agreement on information interaction has been signed between the educational organization and the Sevastopol Branch of the SFR.
