Statistics: more than 85 thousand Sevastopol residents receive preferential medications
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, during a staff meeting chaired by Governor Mikhail Razvozhaev, Director of the Sevastopol Health Department Vitaly Denisov reported on the results of measures taken in 2023 to improve the system of preferential drug provision. This year, the number of pending prescriptions has been reduced to 25. To date, 4 pending prescriptions have been registered.
Recently, requests from citizens on the topic of preferential provision of medicines to the Regional Management Center either have not been received at all, or some isolated cases have been recorded. 25 recipes is actually an error. Just a couple of years ago there were thousands of them. And we see that everything is purchased on time, and work is organized efficiently. This is why there is such a significant reduction in delayed prescriptions — quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Mikhail Razvozhaev.
In order to provide medicines to citizens who apply for social government assistance, in 2023 in Sevastopol a total of about 1.3 billion rubles were allocated, of which 171.94 million were allocated for the federal benefit, 1,141.54 million rubles for the regional benefit, and for the regional project “Combating Cardiovascular Diseases” — 33.213 million.
As of December 4, we had about 67 thousand regional beneficiaries and 14 thousand federal beneficiaries registered. According to statistics, the annual increase in regional beneficiaries is about five thousand people, and federal ones — about two thousand. We are also seeing an increase in patients who can receive government assistance in providing medications under the regional project “Combating Cardiovascular Diseases”; there are now 4,205 people, which is one and a half times more than in 2021. If you look at the breakdown, you can see that in terms of the number of people who received preferential drugs, the majority are occupied by patients with diseases of the cardiovascular system — there are more than 34 thousand of them. The second place is occupied by patients with diabetes mellitus, about 17 thousand of them. In terms of financial indicators, oncology drugs turned out to be the most expensive: 42% of the total budget was spent on providing people with these drugs. Diabetes also took second place. All prescriptions are processed in a timely manner, thanks to which we reduce the number of patients who are brought in by ambulance with statuses, comas, and so onnotes the director of the health department.
Improving the system of providing patients with subsidized drugs helps to maintain a reduction in mortality and increases life expectancy.
We continue to have a trend towards reducing mortality, and it is precisely the preferential provision of drugs that consolidates the result that our doctors achieve on operating tables in the vascular center for myocardial infarction and strokesays Vitaly Denisov.
