Statistics: Russians plan to spend an average of about 67 thousand rubles on summer vacation

Summer traditionally marks the start of the holiday season. Avito Rabota surveyed more than 7,000 working Russians to find out whether they plan to go on vacation this summer and how much they plan to spend on vacation. The majority (68%) of Russians surveyed plan to go on vacation this summer, and on average respondents expect to spend 66,668 rubles per person on a summer vacation. Moreover, on average, men plan to spend more than women — 70,645 rubles versus 63,487 rubles.
Most of those surveyed who plan to take a vacation in the summer expect to spend up to 60,000 rubles per person on vacation. 36% of Russians think to spend up to 40,000 rubles, 22% — from 40,000 to 60,000 rubles per person. Every tenth person is preparing to pay from 60,001 to 80,000 rubles (10%) and from 80,001 to 100,000 rubles (10%) for a vacation. 12% of Russians intend to spend more than 100,000 rubles on a summer vacation,” noted the service’s press service.
It is noteworthy that workers in the automotive business plan to spend the largest amount on summer vacation — on average, the estimated vacation expenses of respondents from this sector amounted to 93,489 rubles per person.

On average, Russians start saving for vacation 5–6 months in advance, with women saving longer (6.1 months) than men (5.2 months), and workers aged 55–64 years taking longer (6.6 months), than young Russians 18-24 years old (4.8 months).
