“Strawberry” almost landed him behind bars – a resident of Simferopol will now think a hundred times about what to post on the Internet

A man has been convicted in Crimea for posting pornographic materials on a social network. A 57-year-old resident of Simferopol was found guilty under paragraph “b” of Part 3 of Art. 242 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (distribution of pornographic materials using the information and telecommunications network “Internet”).

The court found that at the end of January 2021, the convict posted a pornographic video file on his page on one of the social networks, viewing and downloading of which was possible without restrictions— reported the prosecutor’s office.

The court, taking into account the opinion of the state prosecutor, sentenced the man to 2 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period for a similar period.
