On World Recycling Day, eco-benches made from recycled materials were installed in Republic Square. This was announced by the director of the Municipal Budgetary Institution “Capital Parks” Vladimir Marchenko. Eco-benches are existing metal bases on which worn slats have been replaced with new ones made from recycled plastic and sand.
New outdoor furniture is not only a great example of an environmentally friendly and respectful attitude towards nature, but also very durable products. Eco-lamels are not affected by weather conditions, are quite resistant to mechanical damage, and do not require large investments in processing and painting,” the press service of the Simferopol administration quotes Vladimir Marchenko.
In total, 13 benches will be renovated in the Republic Park, 9 of them today.
Through such events, the city administration seeks to create a positive image of Simferopol as an environmentally responsible municipality and draw attention to the importance of caring for the environment.
