Strictly and officially: travel from Sokolinoe to the Ai-Petri plateau is closed and prohibited

Today we are already told about blocking the passage to the Ai-Petri plateau from Sokolinoe. However, there were quite a few “heroes” who tried to get through, passed, made their way, drove around, got stuck… Strict, official, very specific commentary from the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea:

The Crimean police informs that travel along the road in the Bakhchisarai region from the village of Sokolinoe to the Ai-Petri plateau is closed in order to prevent accidents and emergencies, as well as to ensure road safety: prohibitory and informational road signs have been installed that block the passage. We ask residents and guests of Crimea to be understanding of the temporary restrictions being introduced on the road.

The conclusion is simple: there is no need to be “heroic” and take risks.
