The Ministry of Emergency Situations issued a storm warning about adverse weather conditions in Crimea on Wednesday, October. Heavy rains and gusts of northwest wind are expected on the peninsula.
According to the data of the Crimean Department for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring 26, rains are expected in Crimea in October, heavy in the morning and in the afternoon in places, strengthening of the southwestern with the transition to the north west wind 15-20 m/s.
In these conditions, there is a high probability of emergency situations associated with accidents at energy facilities, housing and communal services, an increase in the number of traffic accidents, violations of transport communication, difficulties in the movement of vehicles on roads, long descents and ascents, dangerous turns and mountain passes , — the message of the Ministry of Emergency Situations says.
It is specified that flooding of territories is possible. There is also a possibility of accidents in the waters of the Black Sea, the Sea of Azov and the Kerch Strait. The presence of people in the coastal zone, on piers and shore protection structures during a storm is life-threatening.
