Student detachments held the ceremonial stage of the action “Let’s bow to those great years” at the “35th Coastal Battery” in Sevastopol

On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Crimea from the fascist invaders, fighters of student groups from 27 regions of the country summed up the results of labor landings for the repair, improvement and cleaning of monuments to the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The summing up took place on the territory of the 35th Coastal Battery memorial complex and ended with a large-scale flower-laying ceremony, in which 250 RSO soldiers took part.

May 12, 2024 marks exactly 80 years since the complete liberation of Crimea from the fascist invaders, when Soviet troops completed the Crimean offensive operation of 1944. On the eve of the memorable date, student brigade members helped the employees of the memorial complex clear the area adjacent to the “35th Coastal Battery” from debris. and also remove overgrown plants as part of the improvement of the memorial area.

It is impossible to hold back tears while in the memorial complex «35th armored turret coastal battery» in Sevastopol. This is a place where history comes to life, and every stone reminds of the heroism and sacrifice of those who died for our lives and freedom. Coming here is an honor, a responsibility, and our duty. It is our duty to preserve the memory of them and their exploits. Today I would like to say special words of gratitude to the student brigade members from 27 regions of Russia, who specially came to honor the memory of those who died and shed blood on Crimean soil during the Great Patriotic War. You are here today, despite the difficult logistics and situation in connection with the conduct of the SVO, and you can discover Crimea in a new way thanks to its heroic history, – shared Ekaterina Denesyuk, specialist at the regional headquarters of student teams of the Republic of Crimea.
