Student environmental teams are being created in Crimea to work at natural reserve sites

On April 12, the grand opening of the first All-Russian forum of student teams “EcoTOP” took place in Crimea. The event will take place from April 12 to 14 at the Ak-Bars children’s health complex. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness among young people about environmental issues and nature conservation, as well as to develop a caring attitude towards the environment.

The Forum program includes a block related to the preparation of work groups of teenagers to participate in environmental events in the summer as part of volunteer and labor activities.

The main emphasis will be on considering the issue of possible employment of students in the areas of environmental education and environmental activities. In addition, the option of employing students as seasonal personnel at natural reserve sites and in forestry will be considered. This step is aimed at actively involving young people in important environmental initiatives and giving them a practical character.

There is currently a shortage of personnel in the field of nature conservation and ecology. We hope that student environmental teams, as part of seasonal employment, and subsequently permanent ones, will help eliminate this deficit. Systematic work to attract student labor groups to work in specially protected natural areas and forestry lands will contribute to the development of standardized recreational activities in the mountainous forest zone of Crimea, – notes Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea Alexander Bereznev.

An environmental forum is my personal long-time dream, since various forums, master classes and other events are held for many areas, and finally such an event is being held for ecologists. This direction is very important, especially in modern realities.
