Student teams of Sevastopol opened a competition of professional skills
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Akhmat Gergokaev’s “Factory of Professions” project was launched at Sevastopol State University, within the framework of which 145 representatives of the city’s youth will compete in professional skills in seven areas. Among the participants are 20 teams from student teams and seven teams from the governor’s school labor teams.
The professional skills competition “Factory of Professions” is a project to identify the level of development of competencies in construction, service, archaeological, digital, pedagogical areas, the direction of guides and governor’s school work teams.
Together with the student teams of Sevastopol, we annually hold a professional skills competition in preparation for the third working semester. This year, for the first time, members of the governor’s school labor teams will take part in the competition: they will make a book of memory and history of their hometown, which will then be presented to the pupils of the orphanage– the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the head of the youth affairs department Marina Slonchenko.
Within the framework of the competition, conditions will be created for applying theoretical knowledge in practice, realizing the creative potential of participants, and improving professional qualifications. The content of the block assignments will correspond to each specialty.
The project implementation program includes several blocks:
- 1 theoretical – consists of lectures and a test on knowledge of the basics of professional activity;
- 2 practical – completing tasks, solving cases, the result of which will be a finished product;
- 3 volunteer – includes support for children who are in a socially dangerous situation.
Finished products, for example, wooden benches, made by representatives of the construction sector, will be transferred for use to Sevastopol orphanage No. 1.
The “Factory of Professions” project plays a key role in increasing the professionalism of young people and the importance of blue-collar professions for the development of the city. Our initiative not only creates conditions for the practical application of knowledge for our soldiers, but also promotes social activity and the formation of team spirit. By supporting young professionals and providing them with the opportunity to realize their potential, we not only improve the quality of the workforce, but also form the foundations of a flexible and efficient labor market that meets the challenges of the modern economy,” commented project manager Akhmat Gergokaev.
The professional skills competition “Factory of Professions” is the winning project of the competition of social youth projects of the city of Sevastopol in 2023, is being implemented with the support of the city’s youth affairs department, as well as the Sevastopol regional branch of the all-Russian youth public organization “Russian Student Teams”.
