Students completed professional training to work as counselors in children's camps in Crimea
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Over the course of two months, 350 students underwent professional training at the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov for subsequent work in children’s camps in Crimea.
Vocational training was carried out with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation through the provision of grants for training in basic vocational training programs on a free basis for participants in student teams in the professions of workers, employee positions necessary for carrying out work activities as part of such teams. The operator for ensuring the implementation of vocational training events from 2021 is the Russian Student Teams. Thus, by the end of 2023, 38,436 people in 130 professions were trained in the Russian Federation using this state subsidy. One of the key professions for which vocational training is provided as part of grant support is the profession of “counselor”.
In 2024, in the Republic of Crimea, 350 students have already completed training in counselor skills, most of whom today, on International Counselor Day, have already started working in children’s camps. Through the efforts of students, work is carried out in 11 children’s health camps of the Republic of Crimea. Taking into account the fact that in Crimea there is now an acute shortage of seasonal personnel, the leaders of the Russian Student Teams, trained under state subsidies, can significantly reduce the staffing shortage in children’s camps. In addition, students receive their first work experience, and future teachers gain invaluable practical experience for their professional activities.– notes the head of the Crimean regional branch of Russian Student Teams Vladimir Kaidansky.
This year, in the professional training of counselors at the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov, special attention was paid to the practical part, the implementation of which was carried out directly on the basis of children’s camps. Future counselors at on-site intensive courses, which were held in children’s camps, had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the details of a counselor’s skill and analyze on the spot the main cases of tasks that they will encounter in the process of work. The emphasis was on developing leadership skills, teamwork and providing a safe and fun experience for children.
For us, this was not just training, but an opportunity to become part of a large team that will create unforgettable moments for children this summer. We are proud that we have successfully completed training at the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University named after Fevzi Yakubov and received state-issued certificates. Now we are ready to contribute to organizing a safe and interesting holiday for children in Crimea. Our student teaching team is looking forward to the start of the season and is already ready to work in children’s camps in Crimeasays the commander of the student pedagogical detachment “Energy” Daria Pomozova.
