Such a good «Mers», but the driver was not lucky with the typewriter — a stupid accident in the center of Simferopol

On the very central street of Simferopol — Kirov Avenue, a stupid accident occurred — the driver allowed the Mercedes-Benz G500 to overturn. From the police report:

On June 15, 2023 at 03:50 a driver, born in 2001, driving a Mercedes-Benz G500 vehicle, moving from the side of the square. Sovetskaya in the direction of pl. Amet-Khan Sultana on Kirov Avenue near the house No. 44 allowed a collision with an obstacle in the form of a pedestrian metal fence, after which the car overturned.

The traffic police immediately arrived on the scene. During the clarification of the circumstances of the accident, as a result of which no one was injured, the driver was asked to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, but he refused. The motorist was suspended from driving and a protocol was drawn up against him under Part 1 of Art. 12.26 Administrative Code of the Russian Federation. The vehicle has been placed in a designated parking area.

Drunk — not drunk, but the refusal to undergo a medical examination — «an admission of guilt.»

The State Traffic Inspectorate of Crimea reminds that according to Part 1 of Art. 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation for failure by the driver of a vehicle to comply with the legal requirement of an authorized official to undergo a medical examination for intoxication, if such actions (inaction) do not contain a criminally punishable act, shall entail the imposition of an administrative fine in the amount of thirty thousand rubles with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period one and a half to two years.

And the Merc is good, reliable. No one was hurt in this stupid accident.
