Sudak resident found guilty of molesting schoolchildren via social networks

The evidence collected by the Investigative Committee of Russia was recognized by the court as sufficient to convict the 39-year-old resident of Sudak. He was found guilty of committing other acts of a sexual nature against persons under 14 years of age, and distributing pornographic materials among minors, including via the Internet (clause “b”, part 4 of article 132, clause “b” » Part 3 of Article 242 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
The Belogorsk Interdistrict Investigation Department and the court established that from May 2019 to December 2022, on various social networks under fictitious names, the man met schoolchildren, exchanged phone numbers and then continued the correspondence through instant messengers. During online communication, the attacker sent obscene photographs to minors, and also forced children to send him their intimate photographs. 13 minors from different regions were recognized as victims of the molester’s actions.— reported in Sledkom.
By a court verdict, the accused was found guilty of crimes of a sexual nature against children and sentenced to seven years in prison to be served in a maximum security correctional colony. After serving his sentence, he was also sentenced to restriction of freedom for a period of 1.5 years.
