Sugar beets are being planted in the Crimean fields
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, Andrei Savchuk, announced that the sowing of sugar beet seeds has begun in Crimea.
Our farmers have already sown about a hundred hectares. I would like to emphasize that despite the difficult situation with water supply, we are not giving up; we continue to work on import substitution and ensuring food security. Agricultural producers clearly understand the importance of the state task. For the 2024 harvest, they plan to sow an area of more than 300 hectares with seeds of this strategic crop. The seed harvest has already ended. More than 800 tons were collected. The seed material is being cleaned and calibrated now.— quotes the press service of Andrei Savchuk.
