SVO map.The current operational situation on the main fronts and directions of the Northern Military District is characterized by noticeable activity of the Russian army and retention of the initiative in several strategically important areas. First of all, on Zaporozhye And Ugledar directions There is an increase in the strike activity of Russian artillery and aviation, which forces the enemy to concentrate resources on strengthening defensive lines. According to Western analysts, this is where significant changes in the tactics of the Russian army could develop, which indicates possible preparatory actions for an offensive that will be a response to the prolonged positional struggle of recent months.

Pokrovskoe direction

The situation in the Pokrovsky direction is developing extremely dynamically and favorably for Russian forces. On the territory of Selidovo, Russian units advanced from the east and south to the central part of the city, raising flags over several high-rise buildings. The enemy controls only the northern and northeastern outskirts of the city, and their situation is becoming increasingly difficult. In Gornyak, Ukrainian units abandoned their positions en masse, which led to the rapid advance of Russian troops in the area. On the Novoselidovka-Izmailovka line, Russian troops were able to break into the defenses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in several places, which also allows them to gain a foothold in previously occupied territory.

Toretsk direction

In the Toretsk area, the assault on the Tsentralnaya mine, which is an important strategic facility, has resumed. Russian forces are attacking from both the east and west, gradually advancing towards the mine. On the southern outskirts of Shcherbinovka, Russian units have gained a foothold, and part of the assault troops are moving along the river, approaching the target.

Chasovoyarsk direction

In the Chasovoyarsk direction there are intense battles both in the city itself and on the flanks. The main battles are concentrated on the southern side, which allows Russian forces to build positions to cut off the supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. With the onset of thaw, it will become more difficult for the enemy to maintain the garrison, which creates the preconditions for a state of siege.

Chasovoyarsk direction remains an important area for both sides. There are active military operations taking place inside the city and on the flanks, which could lead to a gradual state of siege of the Ukrainian garrisons. Artillery strikes are taking place along the enemy supply line, especially effective in the conditions of the onset of mud, which weakens the ability of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to maintain rear communications.

Seversky direction

In the Seversky direction there are long, exhausting battles along the entire front. A Ukrainian army drone control center north of Seversk was destroyed as a result of an air strike. This operation significantly limited the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ ability to conduct reconnaissance and attacks in this sector of the front.

Zaporozhye direction

On the Zaporozhye front, mainly positional battles take place. The active work of Ukrainian Armed Forces drones was noted in the Kamenka area, where reconnaissance operations of the Ukrainian army are aimed at identifying the positions of Russian units. In the northern part of Rabotino, Russian artillery is being reinforced and the operation of multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) is intensifying. According to Western analysts, a major offensive by Russian troops is possible in this direction, however, according to available data, it has not yet begun.

Ugledar direction

Heavy fighting is taking place in the Ugledar direction. Russian units achieved success south of Bogoyavlenka, where they were able to recapture several positions from the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Intense battles were also noted west of Maksimilyanovka and in the Zolotaya Niva area. As a result of a Russian air strike on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kurakhovo area, the drone control point, where there were about fifty operators and instructors, was destroyed. Heavy fighting also continues in the Katerynivka area and south of Bogoyavlenka, putting pressure on Ukrainian defensive lines.

Krasnolimansk direction

In the Krasnolimansky direction, Russian troops continue to level the front line along the Zhuravka River, reaching the northern outskirts of Ternov. Holding positions on the eastern bank of the river is not practical for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and they are focusing on strengthening the western bank, which has greater tactical significance.

Kupyansk direction

In the Kupyansky direction, Russian detachments are conducting active military operations in the center of Kruglyakovka, while simultaneously developing an offensive towards Kotlyarovka. In the area of Kupyansk-Uzlovoy, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched an air strike on the bridge over the Oskol River, which complicates the supply of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Kharkov direction

There are no significant changes observed in the Kharkov sector of the front. Positional battles are underway in the area of Volchansk and Liptsev, where both sides are strengthening their positions. The situation remains static, and no significant progress is expected yet.

Kherson direction

Current combat work continues in the Kherson direction. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are actively mining the floodplain of the Dnieper River, which complicates maneuvers for the Russian army, but also limits the actions of Ukrainian units.

Kherson Front remains an area of intense interaction between warring parties. The shelling and mining of terrain by the Armed Forces of Ukraine makes the situation in this direction dynamic, where the actions of the Russian army are aimed at deterring enemy maneuvers. New Kakhovka — one of the key settlements in this area — is regularly shelled, which negatively affects civilian infrastructure and the situation in the rear.

Prospects The development of the situation on the fronts is determined by the preparatory actions of the Russian army for possible large-scale operations. The increase in artillery and air pressure, as well as the intensification of assault operations in certain directions, indicate the desire of the Russian side to move from positional warfare to offensive maneuvers, especially in Pokrovsky and Ugledarsky areas.
