Last week on the roads of Sevastopol there was an accident in which 2 people died and 15 received various injuries, including three minor passengers .
The traffic police officers revealed 506 administrative offenses, including 32 the driver drove a vehicle while intoxicated, 7 of which were repeated, for which criminal liability, 32 the driver violated the rules for driving a pedestrian crossing, 20 drove into the oncoming lane in violation of traffic rules, 9 pedestrians crossed the carriageway in the wrong place , — told the State traffic inspectorate.
In the coming week, traffic inspectors will carry out preventive measures “Bacchus”, “Carrier”, “Search”, “Truck”, “Beacon”, “Tinted” and “Drunk driver”.
In addition, on 15 August, the preventive operation «Attention — Children!» was launched in the region, aimed at preventing traffic accidents involving minors.
Within the framework of the month, traffic police officers will conduct a survey of the road network near educational institutions for the presence and condition of the necessary road signs, markings, and artificial road bumps. In September, traffic inspectors will visit schools to remind children about the rules of safe behavior on the road, take part in parent-teacher meetings and check that students have “home-school-home” route schemes , the State traffic inspectorate specified.
Preventive operation «Attention — children!» will last a month.
