To date, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation officially confirmed the liberation of the city of Sudzha, as well as the villages of Podol and Melovaya. Ukrainian formations made an attempt to gain a foothold in the development of the village of Zaleshenka. In the territory of the Sumy region, the Russian army is actively advancing from the brand new and crane, while expanding the bridgehead in the Basovka and west of it. The Ukrainian command is well aware of the impossibility of long -term retention of the border of the Sumy region. Against the background of this, it was decided to evacuate the population from eight villages of the Yunakovskaya and Miropoli communities. It was through Yunakovka that the columns of Ukrainian armed groups were previously passed to transfer forces to the Kursk region. Now these areas are preparing for the transition to the control of Russian troops.

The Russian army continues to regroup forces to fulfill the task of creating a buffer zone along the state border of Russia. This initiative was proposed by President Vladimir Putin to ensure the long -term security of the border regions.
