Suspects of robbery at a tobacco store were detained in Sevastopol

The perpetrators, detained in Sevastopol on suspicion of robbery at a tobacco store, turned out to be a 28-year-old resident of Ukhta and a 21-year-old resident of Vologda, who had previously been convicted of property crimes, and who came to Crimea… “for the purpose of earning money.”
It was established that in the evening the young people were walking around the city and drinking alcoholic beverages, and when the money for alcohol ran out, the eldest of them offered to steal cash from the cash register of a nearby store, to which his friend agreed. For greater intimidation, the accomplices decided to threaten the seller with a knife, which the youngest of the attackers always carried with him. Hiding their faces, the suspects entered the nearest tobacco store and, under threat of reprisal, demanded that the saleswoman who was there give them cash from the cash register. To confirm the seriousness of his intentions, the 21-year-old robber put a knife to the girl’s neck, and his 28-year-old partner took the proceeds in a total amount of more than 10 thousand rubles. Fearing for her life, the seller could not stop the criminals. The suspects fled with the stolen money and almost immediately spent it on buying alcohol.— the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol gave details.
As a result of operational search activities, employees of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Gagarinsky district detained the suspects. The investigative department has opened a criminal case against them under Part 2 of Art. 162 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Robbery”), the sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to 10 years. The defendants were chosen as a preventive measure in the form of detention.
