«Suzdal heights» and «Trenzina beam» — landfills, the elimination of which is underway in Sevastopol

The regional project «Clean Country» of the national project «Ecology» is being implemented on the territory of Sevastopol. Within its framework, work continues to eliminate the Suzdal Heights and Trenzina Balka landfills. The technical stage of the reclamation of the Suzdal Heights object included the following activities:
- collection of solid household waste and construction debris;
- sanitary felling of depressed and weakened trees;
- covering the area of the site with the content of chemicals in the soil with clean soil;
- vertical planning of the territory with a minimum amount of excavation;
- covering the recultivated area with a fertile layer of soil.
As part of the biological stage of reclamation, the economic and ecological value of the land was restored, landscaping was carried out — perennial grasses were sown and 508 young plants were planted. Planting material characteristic of the area was used — common juniper, oriental hornbeam and downy oak. During the reclamation period, waste of the fourth and fifth hazard classes was collected and removed for disposal in the amount of 220.5 cubic meters. m. To date, work is underway to care for the lawn and green spaces.
The implementation of the environmental project to eliminate the unauthorized waste dump «Trenzina Balka» is at the second stage. Work continues on the removal and removal of contaminated soil of the fifth hazard class. The total amount of waste in accordance with the project is more than 180 thousand cubic meters. m, of which the volume of waste of the fifth class is 163.7 thousand cubic meters. m.
During the three weeks of June, the following work was carried out at the Trenzina Balka facility:
- security piping of the trunks of the pistachio pistachio;
- restoration and arrangement of a receiving reservoir with sand and gravel loading and a drainage shaft for collecting runoff after heavy rainfall;
- manual sorting of contaminated soils of the fifth hazard class from MSW;
- removal of contaminated soils of the fifth hazard class, loading and their removal to the landfill in the amount of 21,270 cubic meters. m.
Production work at the facilities is carried out in accordance with the approved calendar schedule.
