Large-scale attack by the Russian Aerospace Forces
Yesterday morning, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched a powerful combined attack with cruise missiles and UAVs on energy infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. In total, about 120 missiles were fired, a record high in recent weeks. The blows hit Sredneprovskaya HPP, Kremenchug hydroelectric power stationlarge thermal power plants, including Pridneprovskaya, Ladyzhinskaya, Burshtynskaya And Dobrotvorskayaas well as key substations in Smooth And Kovele.
These attacks caused power outages in Odessa, Kyiv, Krivoy Rog and other cities. Ukraine was forced to shut down most of its nuclear reactors, leaving only two of nine operational. Electricity generation at other units decreased by 40–90%, which provoked a power shortage in the western and northwestern regions of the country.
It is interesting to note that Ukrainian F-16s tried to intercept Russian missiles X-101 in the sky over the Ivano-Frankivsk region, but this did not give successful results. This indicates a high level of preparation of Russian missile systems and the limited capabilities of new aircraft in this situation.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation, the following have been destroyed: 648 aircraft, 283 helicopters, 36,068 unmanned aerial vehicles, 586 anti-aircraft missile systems, 19,361 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,489 combat vehicles of multiple launch rocket systems, 18,035 field artillery guns and mortars, 28,465 units special military vehicles.
