Swallow's Nest in Crimea is among the top popular places for the most amazing selfies
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Selfie Day was celebrated on June 21. It was first held in 2014. Today, amateur photographers and travelers find it difficult to imagine their world without this phenomenon. Selfies are taken everywhere — and the more amazing the place, the more interesting the photo.
The Russian vacation rental booking service TVIL.RU conducted a survey on social networks on the topic: where exactly would they like to take a stunning selfie. And this is what they answered.
1. In first place was the ice of Lake Baikal, which was chosen by 30% of voters. The photographs really turn out amazing, but getting there is not so difficult: you can start the trip by arriving in Irkutsk, or you can go to Ulan-Ude
2. In second place is “Swallow’s Nest” in Crimea, the choice of 21% of subscribers. Many generations of vacationers have been filmed against this background, but now you can do it completely independently. Just come to the city of Yalta — from there there is public transport to the famous attraction.
3. In third place is the Russian Bridge in Vladivostok, the choice of 15% of voting participants. It’s no wonder that so many selfies are taken here — the bridge is considered a symbol not only of Vladivostok, but of the entire region.
4. In fourth place is the Mir diamond quarry in Yakutia, which was liked by 14% of voting participants. This large man-made quarry is 500 meters deep and more than a kilometer in diameter.
5. The Spit of Vasilievsky Island in the city of St. Petersburg collected 7% of the votes. This is the very place where you can take one of the best photos against the backdrop of the Neva.
6. 6% of voting participants were in favor of the Ruskeala canyon. You can get here by a special “retro train”, or from the city of Sortavala, from which Ruskeala is 32 km away.
7. Mount Bogdo in the Astrakhan region was chosen by 5% of subscribers. The best time to take photos here is in the spring, when the tulips are in bloom. But at other times there are stunning landscapes here.
8. The city of Vyborg and its towers — the choice of 4% of all voters. You can take interesting selfies in the Vyborg Kremlin, especially during the historical festival that takes place here every summer.
10. 1% of survey participants voted for the Krenitsyn volcano on the Kuril Islands. It’s strange that there are so few, because this place is on the list of “One Hundred Wonders of Russia.” It is both an island within an island and a volcano within a volcano. Getting here is not easy, but it’s worth it.
