The Feodosia administration announces a ban on swimming on city beaches.
Due to an accident on the collector and repair and restoration work in the area of the mouth of the Baibuga River, which is carried out by the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Water of Crimea», a temporary restriction on swimming on the beaches of the Feodosia Gulf has been introduced. After the completion of repair and restoration work and analysis of water samples, the beaches will be opened.
Until further notice, we ask residents and visitors of Feodosia to refrain from swimming in the sea near the mouth of the Baibuga River! We apologize for any inconvenience caused. City businesses are operating as normalthe message says.
It is not reported how long it will take to fix the accident on the sewer collector. But local residents say that the Baibuga River itself (flowing into the sea) has long been a real «stinky river», into which untreated sewage flows around the clock.
