“Talks about important things” in Sevastopol. This time about cinema
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Today, all schools and colleges in our country held an extracurricular lesson “Talking about important things” on the topic “Beyond the screen. 115 years of cinema in Russia.” Pupils and students were introduced to the history of Russian cinema, and also talked about professions related to animation and the film industry.
Cinema, along with literature and theater, allows a person to see himself as in a mirror, correlate his actions with the actions of the heroes, teaches him to analyze and reflect, and animation is one of the most popular and popular means of visually presenting information.
The chief director of the Sevastopol Academic Russian Drama Theater named after. A.V. Lunacharsky, Honored Artist of Sevastopol Grigory Lifanov and theater artist Vitaly Omelchenko.
Children are always interested in learning what happens behind the camera. It’s always a pleasure to discuss with young people how the process of creating what we see on the screen occurs. Theater and cinema do not oppose each other, but always coexist. Our artists often appear in films and TV series. The most important thing is to remain a citizen of your country in your creativity and in your business, a person who does not stand aside from problems. We watch films and performances of those people whose thoughts are interesting to us. The main message of the classes “Talking about important things” is for children to learn to make their own choices, defend their opinions and not depend on the opinions of the crowd— quotes the press service of the Government of Sevastopol Grigory Lifanov.
Vitaly Omelchenko told the schoolchildren about his profession and answered the children’s questions.
I get great pleasure from my work. Being an artist is not an easy profession. Being an actor is not only fame and success, it is physically and emotionally difficult. This is my fourth season at the Sevastopol Lunacharsky Theater. I was lucky enough to be part of the film “Sky”, which was released in 2021, where I played the role of the main character in his youthsays Vitaly Omelchenko.
The general director of Mosfilm, Karen Shakhnazarov, who has been leading the work of the film concern for almost 25 years, told schoolchildren in a video about the value of cinema and animation as a part of national culture. In 2024, Mosfilm will celebrate its 100th anniversary. The children were also told that director Sergei Eisenstein, in his film “Battleship Potemkin,” managed to make a red flag appear in his black and white film. In 1958, as a result of a survey of film experts, the film was recognized as the best film of all time.
The schoolchildren remembered the stories on which they and their parents were raised. These are film stories by director Alexander Rowe “Morozko”, “Koschei the Immortal”, “The Kingdom of Crooked Mirrors”, “Marya the Mistress”.
Today’s «Conversations About What Matters» was one of the most interesting. Cinema is my hobby. I really like to spend my free time watching movies. But I never thought that creating a film is an entire art, how many people are involved, how much time it takes to create something that will capture people’s attention. And today our guests told us about the work of actors and directors. These are not just people on the screen, these are our Sevastopol director and actor, the people we see in the theater, here they are next to us, — notes school student Victoria.
Let us remind you that the series of lessons “Talking about Important Things” started in Russian schools last year. The project is aimed at strengthening spiritual and moral values.
