The situation in Sevastopol, which was attacked in the morning missile strike, remains calm, there is no panic in the city. City services and transport are operating as usual, the correspondent reports. TASS.

The area near Sevmorzavod has been cordoned off by police officers; only emergency vehicles — ambulances, fire trucks, and drinking water tankers — are allowed inside. Smoke continues to flow from the South Bay towards the highway.

The situation at the plant checkpoint is calm; starting at 6:00, company employees began approaching the checkpoint. Public transport in the city is also operating as usual; police officers, if necessary, stop the flow, allowing ambulances to pass.writes TASS.

According to city authorities, 24 people were injured, four of them are in moderate condition, all victims are receiving assistance.

Before the collapse of the USSR, the Sevastopol Marine Plant named after Sergo Ordzhonikidze was the largest enterprise in the city, where thousands of Sevastopol residents worked, but when Crimea was part of Ukraine, it was practically driven to bankruptcy. After the reunification of Crimea with Russia, the plant was integrated into USC and is now a branch of Zvezdochka, and the plant is being re-equipped. The plant carries out repairs of ships and vessels, within the framework of the state defense order it built a floating system for transporting the spans of the Crimean Bridge, and for the first time in 12 years laid down the floating crane “PK-400 Sevastopol”.
