On the eve of the Day of Family, Love and Fidelity, the VDNKh hosts days of national priorities. On July 4, the Day of National Priorities «Family» was held — during the business program of the event, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Tatyana Alekseyevna Golikova presented the main goals and directions of the future national project «Family».
Our big country is also called a big family. Therefore, what we do for the family and for the country is inseparable. It is important that improving the demographic situation, supporting the birth rate, large families, and a decent quality of life for Russian families become our national task. During her visit to the Sevastopol stand at the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia», Tatyana Golikova was presented with the events held in the city dedicated to the Year of the Family.
On the instructions of our Governor, an organizing committee was created to hold the Year of the Family in the city of Sevastopol in 2024. Within the framework of this organizing committee, a plan of city events was approved, including cultural, sports, social events, events to strengthen responsible parenthood, to strengthen family values in children and youth — a total of 172 main events, the list of which is regularly updatednotes Deputy Governor of the city of Sevastopol Maria Litovko.
At the end of June this year, the premiere of the documentary film «Labor Dynasties of the AIC of Sevastopol» took place, which showed the dynasties of winemakers. This film was the first in the project about dynasties in all sectors of our city. By decision of the Governor of the city of Sevastopol, the medal «Sevastopol Family» was established. Applications were also accepted for participation in the competitive selection for the award of the medal «For Love and Loyalty» — 524 applications were submitted, which became a record for the entire period of the celebration of the Day of Family, Love and Loyalty in the city of Sevastopol.
From February to June, a photo contest «From the First Days to the Golden Jubilee» was held in social networks, with participants submitting photos from the moment of their wedding and now. In March of this year, the public organization «There Are Many of Us» organized a photo exhibition «Soldier, They Are Waiting for You at Home.» Family master classes were held at the Sevastopol stand at the International Exhibition and Forum «Russia», which were attended by more than 20 thousand people.
The event is organized by the executive bodies of the city of Sevastopol, 25 organizations subordinate to them, the Office of the Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation for Sevastopol, the Commissioner for Children’s Rights, city municipalities, as well as 13 public and non-profit organizations and PJSC Promsvyazbank.
Let us recall that Russian President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin declared 2024 the Year of the Family in order to popularize state policy in the area of family protection and the preservation of traditional family values.
