Tauric Chersonesos introduces schoolchildren to the work of archaeologists, restorers and guides

This autumn, for the third year in a row, the museum-reserve will open its doors to participants in the federal project of early professional orientation «Ticket to the Future». Tauric Chersonese is the only museum in the Crimea and Sevastopol that allows children to get acquainted with the professions of an archaeologist, restorer and guide.
The regional operator of the Ticket to the Future project, Olga Anistratenko, emphasized the importance of the participation of specialists from the cultural institution: “Last year, professional tests in Tauric Chersonesos aroused great interest among students and teachers. More than fifty children took part in them, some of whom really decided to link the future with the preservation of the historical heritage of the hero city. Museum employees today are people with a phenomenal store of knowledge from various fields of activity. Here and history, and art, and tourism, and advanced technologies. Work in the museum in our time has reached a completely new level of development, it becomes really interesting for the younger generation. Therefore, it is important that children have the opportunity to get acquainted with current professions in Tauric Chersonese.”
The director of the museum-reserve, Elena Morozova, noted that this autumn the employees are looking forward to the participants of the Ticket to the Future project:
The institution of culture is happy to once again accept schoolchildren who want to gain theoretical and practical knowledge and find their own career path. Sevastopol is a city of Russian glory, history, monuments and museums, so professions such as archaeologist, restorer and tour guide are important and necessary for its development.
We remind you that the project «Ticket to the Future» is intended for students in grades 6-11. It is carried out with the support of the state within the framework of the national project «Education». Created on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation V.V.
