Tauride Chersonese invites you to spend Russia Day on the territory of the museum-reserve

On June 12, from 10:00 to 13:00, the museum-reserve will host a thematic holiday — “Russia Day in Chersonesos”. Children and adults will be treated to a concert, excursions, lectures on history and culture, as well as creative master classes, beloved by many. Schedule:
- 10:00 ‒ interactive excursion “The Korsun Legend” (by appointment). Guests will be told about the baptism of Grand Duke Vladimir in Chersonesus — Kherson — Korsun and about the adoption of Christianity in Rus’. Free tickets can be booked by calling: +7 918 950-69-16. The number of places is limited, hurry to sign up!
- from 10:00 to 13:00 — crafts fair and creative master classes in the Byzantine courtyard of Chersonese Tauride. Everyone will also be able to take part in the “Letter to a Soldier” event, organized with the support of the Sevastopol branch of the “Defenders of the Fatherland” foundation. Children and adults will make postcards to the soldiers of a special military operation, who will definitely find their addressee!
- from 10:00 to 13:00 in the Byzantine courtyard, young guests of the museum-reserve will have festive face painting applied, and both children and adults will be able to leave a memory of the event by taking pictures at the interactive photo zone. On June 12, the food court will also be open for those who wish!
On June 12, music will be played in the Byzantine courtyard of Chersonesus. A concert program “Masterpieces of Russian Music” performed by the pop and brass band of the Folk Art Center has been prepared for guests. Soloist — Irina Knyazeva.
On this holiday, visitors will also be treated to interesting lectures! From 10:30 to 11:00 ‒ “The role of the royal family in the development of Chersonesos,” read by Tatyana Prokhorova, head of the scientific and archival department of the museum-reserve. From 11:30 to 12:00, the head of the exhibition department of the cultural institution, Pavel Khlebovsky, will tell guests about the “Russian spirit in the paintings of outstanding painters.”
