Tauride Chersonesus awarded the winners of patriotic competitions

“I’m so happy we won! We prepared and rehearsed for a long time, learned the words of the song, and today we performed it in front of the guys as the winners of the competition,” “I dedicated my drawing to my dad, who is now defending our Motherland, so I am very glad that my work was highly appreciated,” – these are the feelings the guys who took part in the “Time Has Chosen Us” concert experienced today. At the event, the results of the patriotic competitions of Tauride Chersonesos — “Heroes of my family” and “Songs in a soldier’s overcoat” were summed up.

On the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, more than two hundred children and their parents gathered at the awards ceremony in the assembly hall of the museum-reserve’s partner, the Sevastopol Children’s Art School. Distinguished young artists and creative teams of children received diplomas, gratitude and memorable prizes from Tauride Chersonese. The festive atmosphere was created by musical performances of the winners of the patriotic song competition and an exhibition of thematic works from the drawing competition.

The guys from our group took part in the “Songs in a Soldier’s Overcoat” competition with great pleasure. They rehearsed every day, carefully learned the part and tried very hard. I am especially pleased that today, on my birthday, our students were invited to the awards ceremony! It is a great honor for us! We are very happy and grateful to the Tauride Chersonese Museum-Reserve for such a wonderful holiday on the eve of Defender of the Fatherland Day, — said Vita Yakovlevna Petrova, teacher of the “Kapelka” group at kindergarten No. 20 “Magnolia”. It was her talented students who became the winners of the “Songs in a Soldier’s Overcoat” competition.
