Tax deduction for the purchase of housing can increase

Krympress reports:

A tax deduction for the purchase of real estate must be increased, according to the national association of builders. The Ministry of Construction supports this initiative, said NOSTROY President Anton Glushkov.

The head of the association emphasized that the amount for calculating the tax deduction for the purchase of real estate has not been indexed for several years. Now it is 2 million rubles. At the same time, the size of the family mortgage is much higher — 6 million rubles.

According to Glushkov, an increase in the tax deduction for the purchase of real estate would be a timely measure. He believes that the amount for calculating the deduction should be increased to 6 million rubles. This will motivate citizens not to postpone the purchase of housing.

The President of the Note added that it is possible to temporarily increase the tax deduction. This can be an urgent measure limited by a certain period. This would support the construction industry.

Tax property deduction allows you to return part of the funds spent on the purchase of real estate. The tax deduction can be obtained when buying an apartment, room, share, private house, plot for construction. The deduction can be obtained in the amount of 13% of the cost of housing, but not more than 650 thousand rubles. The maximum amount for calculating the tax deduction for the purchase of real estate is 2 million rubles.
