Tax officers of Sevastopol took part in the all-Russian project «YUNGa»

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In the first half of the school year, employees of the Office of the Federal Tax Service for the city of Sevastopol conducted 139 lessons as part of the YNGa tax literacy project for students in grades 5–6.

The project was created by the Federal Tax Service in order to develop tax culture as an integral part of the education and upbringing of a citizen who is proud of his country and aware of his contribution to its prosperity. It should be noted that interactive lessons were specially developed for the project, taking into account the psychological characteristics of children at this age, which include quizzes, cartoons and videos. This form of presenting materials allows students to learn the material. Lessons in the format of live communication not only introduced children to the basics of tax literacy, but also formed in the children’s audience an understanding of the role of taxes in the social function of the state— reported the press service of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Sevastopol.

During the lessons, tax service specialists asked children to evaluate the practical significance of knowledge about taxes and fill out a short questionnaire in the form of a “palm”. Little Sevastopol residents rated the lessons as very useful and interesting, and demonstrated an understanding of the role taxes play in the life of the country.
