Tax service: market management companies will be able to control the use of online cash registers through a special service

CrimeaPRESS reports:

New rules of interaction will come into force for tenants and market management companies from January 1, 2025. Changes made into legislationoblige the market management company to verify the fact of registered cash register equipment of persons to whom the trading place is presented.

If the tenant does not have official registration of cash registers, the market management company notifies the seller about this and does not allow him to enter the trading place until the violation is eliminated. The entity trading on the market is given 15 days to clarify and correct it, otherwise the agreement on providing a place for trading on the market is terminated by the management company unilaterally.

Let us remind you that in 2025, for entrepreneurs operating in markets, the list of types of activities for which online cash registers are needed in retail markets has been added.

Thus, from March 1, 2025, there will be an obligation to use cash registers for those trading at retail markets, fairs, exhibition complexes, as well as in other areas designated for trading, open counters inside covered market premises when selling non-food products.

For the convenience of monitoring and controlling the use of cash register systems, the Federal Tax Service of Russia has developed a special service “Information on markets and tenants”. The platform will allow market management companies to verify the presence of registered cash register equipment for entrepreneurs who are provided with a trading place.

To gain access to the platform, the user must have access to the Internet service “Personal account of a legal entity”also this user must be registered as a market management company in the register of market management companies — participants in the project of the Federal Tax Service of Russia.
