Tax Service of Sevastopol: a self-employed person can confirm his status and income on his own

CrimeaPRESS reports:

From July 1, 2020, for almost three years, a preferential tax regime for self-employed citizens has been operating in Sevastopol. You can register as a payer of professional income tax (PIT) and legally conduct business without visiting the tax office using the My Tax application. How, in this case, to confirm your status for counterparties?

Any “self-employed person” can generate a certificate of confirmation of registration as a tax payer on professional income, as well as on the amount of income received, independently through applications. You can check the status of the NAP taxpayer on the official website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in the corresponding service located in the «Tax on professional income» section. This functionality is especially relevant when concluding contracts, since it allows you to clarify the status of an individual as a self-employed person using the TIN— noted in the press service of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Sevastopol.

In the service «Personal account for payers of tax on professional income (self-employed)» on the official website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia, this function is implemented in the «Settings / Help» section, and in the «My Tax» mobile application — in the «Other / Help» section.

In your personal account, you can create 2 certificates:

  • On the state of settlements (income) on professional income tax for the year. This document contains information about the amount of income per month and for the calendar year, the amount of tax, the amount of arrears and debts. Thus, the certificate contains information confirming income for obtaining a loan, receiving benefits and in other cases.
  • Certificate of registration (deregistration) of an individual as a taxpayer of professional income tax for the year. This document contains the surname, name and patronymic of the self-employed person, his taxpayer identification number (TIN), information about the identity document (passport), address of permanent or temporary registration, date of registration (withdrawal) as a payer of the «Tax on professional income ”, as well as the name of the tax authority in which the self-employed is registered.

Let us clarify that certificates on the status and income of a self-employed person generated in this way are official documents, since they are signed by an electronic digital signature of the tax authority.
