Tax Service of Sevastopol: “family access” will help parents receive tax notices for children

CrimeaPRESS reports:

If property is registered in the name of a minor child, he is recognized as a payer of property taxes. The services of the Federal Tax Service website allow you to find out the accrued tax amounts through the parents’ personal account.

To be able to track information about property assets, as well as accrued and paid amounts in relation to their child, as well as to receive tax notices in the child’s name, parents (legal representatives) can use the “Family Access” mode of the Internet service “Taxpayer’s personal account for individuals”. To use this option you must:

  • Connect your child to your personal account. To do this, the child’s parent personally receives a registration card with access passwords from the tax authority, provided they have their passport and the child’s birth certificate.
  • Next, the parent needs to add the child to his Personal Account in his personal account in the “Profile” section through the “Family Access” tab. To do this, you need to use the “Add user” option and enter the login (TIN) of the child’s personal account. Then you need to click the “Send request” button.
  • To complete the connection procedure, you must go to the child’s personal account and confirm the sent request by clicking the appropriate button.

Minor children added to Family Access will be excluded from the parent’s account automatically upon reaching adulthood. In addition, exclusion from the list can be carried out at the request of the parties at any time. To do this, you need to click on the “cross” button for the user added to the list and confirm the exclusion.

Parents can also pay taxes for their children in their personal account. You can do this in any convenient way: through your personal account, through online banking using your details, through the service «Payment of taxes and duties»as well as in person at any banking institution. The main thing is to formalize this operation correctly — if a parent pays tax for a child, it is necessary to indicate his TIN.

In 2024, property taxes must be paid no later than December 2.
