Tax Service of Sevastopol: from 2025 the rules for reducing the simplified tax system for insurance premiums will change

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The innovations will affect individual entrepreneurs using the simplified taxation system (STS) with the object “income reduced by the amount of expenses.” We are talking about the procedure for including in expenses the amounts of insurance contributions for compulsory pension insurance and health insurance.

Previously, expenses could include the amounts of accrued insurance premiums, subject to their actual payment. From January 1, individual entrepreneurs, when determining the tax base according to the simplified tax system, include the amount of insurance premiums in expenses without the need to actually pay them at the time of reduction. As for insurance premiums calculated at the rate of 1% on income exceeding 300 thousand rubles for 2025, payable no later than July 1, 2026, such insurance premiums can be taken into account as part of expenses under the simplified tax system both in 2025 and in 2026 year. Moreover, if insurance premiums are taken into account in expenses in 2025, then in 2026 they are not taken into account again— reported the press service of the Federal Tax Service of Russia for the city of Sevastopol.
