Tax Service of Sevastopol: “It is important for us to know what excites taxpayers”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
Head of the Department of the Federal Tax Service for the city of Sevastopol Alexey Mogila held a personal reception of citizens in the reception room of the President of the Russian Federation in the city of Sevastopol.
The questions with which the applicants turned to the head of the regional tax service concerned the taxation of property, as well as the taxation of small businesses.
Answering the question of preferential taxation of property of pensioners, Alexey Mogila explained the following:
Retirees by age or health are exempt from paying property tax. This privilege can be applied only to one object, but in each of the categories of property.
The object of taxation of property tax is any real estate registered for a citizen (a room, an apartment, a residential building, a garage, a parking space, a single immovable complex, other premises used as creative workshops, ateliers, studios, non-state museums, galleries, libraries; household buildings, the area of which does not exceed 50 sq. m and which are located on land plots for personal subsidiary farming, gardening, gardening or individual housing construction).
If a pensioner owns several objects of the same type (for example, two houses), then the benefit applies to only one object. To apply the benefit, the pensioner may not submit an application, the benefit will be granted to him on the basis of the information available to the tax authority. At the same time, a pensioner can submit an application for the selected object of taxation, in respect of which a tax benefit is provided (if there are several real estate objects of the same type).
The head of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Sevastopol conducts a personal reception at the Reception of the President of the Russian Federation twice a year. The purpose of such events is to increase the level of public confidence in the regulatory authorities.
Alexey Mogila, Head of the Department, noted:
It is important for us to know what concerns taxpayers, what questions they have. Therefore, our dialogue is built on trust, openness and availability of obtaining information for the fulfillment of tax obligations without unnecessary costs and efforts.
