Tax Service of Sevastopol: there are more ways to receive tax notices for paying property taxes

In mid-September, a campaign began to send mass tax notices to individuals to pay property taxes for 2022.

In total, about 166 thousand notifications have been prepared for sending in Sevastopol, of which 97 thousand will be received by taxpayers in electronic form through the Personal Account of an individual, the rest are sent by registered mail. This year’s innovation is the implementation of the ability to receive tax notifications through your Personal Account on the Unified Portal of State and Municipal Services. To receive a document in this way, you must have a confirmed account on the State Services portal and send consent using the “Connect tax notifications” option, signing it using the Gosklyuch mobile application,” noted the press service of the Federal Tax Service of Russia in Sevastopol.

Let us note that for 2022, 518 million rubles of property taxes for individuals were calculated. The personal property tax is relatively new for residents of the region: Sevastopol residents are paying it for the second time. The legislation provides for a 12-year transition period, within which reduction factors are applied. If last year a coefficient of 0.2 was used, and citizens paid 20% of the base calculated tax amount, then this year the coefficient of 0.4 is used in the calculation. That is, the amount to be paid has doubled, but is only 40% of the calculated amount.

If there are questions regarding the amount of property taxes calculated for payment, for the convenience of taxpayers, the ability to contact the tax service electronically has been implemented through the Internet service “Personal Account of an Individual Taxpayer” or through the “Contact the Federal Tax Service” service, posted on the official website of the Federal Tax Service of Russia (www .nalog.gov.ru). The simplest and most convenient way to pay taxes is through the personal account of the Federal Tax Service of Russia or at the EPGU. The notification also includes a QR code for payment. Traditionally, taxes can be paid through banking institutions, indicating the payment details or UIN from the notification — no later than December 1, 2023.
